Who wouldn't want to stay outdoors when the sun is shining and the air is pleasantly warm? Just make more out of your event and simply move it outdoors when the weather is nice! We will show you how this works here in Bavaria, at the foot of Mount Zugspitze.
Fresh Air Is Healthy!
We spend around eight hours a day at the workplace. Fresh air and sufficient oxygen are particularly important at work. In a closed room, every breath is turned into carbon dioxide, so we quickly get drowsy if the ventilation is insufficient. In a meeting room full of people, the lack of oxygen becomes noticeable after just a couple of hours, as yawning starts. Perhaps you have experienced it yourself at large events, where a few participants may even sink into a deep sleep in the closed room. This is definitely something we want to avoid during our own event. The solution? Just open the windows and let the fresh air in.
Daylight For More Productivity
When it gets dark, the body automatically switches to sleep mode. Therefore, in addition to air quality, light quality is also critical for your team's productivity. Those who work with artificial light may suffer from headaches and poor concentration. In addition, daylight regulates the circulation and metabolism. It also boosts the production of the hormone serotonin that controls the human day-night rhythm and adds to the feeling of well-being.
Top Productivity & Excellent Mood For Your Event
To avoid the above-mentioned issues, you can get your meeting spaces ventilated on a regular basis and choose a good conference hotel that provides meeting facilities with daylight. However, the best way is to incorporate fresh air directly into the conference concept. This is even easier if you find a conference hotel located in the open nature. This is exactly the case at the Hotel am Badersee in Grainau: our business guests are there not just because of the top quality conference rooms we offer. Our quiet, natural location in the heart of the Bavarian outdoor paradise, surrounded by the amazing views of the mountains, is an important argument for the companies and their teams.
Open-Air Events - Do It The Bavarian Way!
Here in Bavaria we are just crazy about 'beer gardens'. This is a place to meet friends and colleagues, exchange ideas or learn new things. Would be great to have that kind of relaxed and interactive atmosphere at a company event, right? Try it out - run your seminar in the 'beer garden', the traditional way with a 'beer table' setup. Our small and cosy 'beer garden' in front of the Seestüberl pub is located next to the conference atrium and offers space for up to 32 people. We will supply you with flipcharts and pinboards. To add to your experience of Bavaria, we can serve you traditional Bavarian delicacies during breaks.
Brainstorming in the Cablecar Cabin
Cablecars normally take you high up into the mountains. In our case, however, the cablecar is located next to Lake Badersee and serves as an 'outdoor' creative space for special flights of fancy. We have transformed this original cabin from the Zugspitze ropeway into our "brainstorming" room. Along with the cabin itself, the magnificent view of Mount Zugspitze and the surrounding mountains provides for inspiration. The windows serve as a work surface. Fresh air is guaranteed as well, along with plenty of room to move around, since the cabin is set up for a maximum of 8-10 people and the doors can be opened at any time.
Out Into The Open!
To maximise productivity and motivation, get your event participants moving during work. Even a short walk through the forest can work wonders, and this can easily be organised as a group activity (check our ideas on Walk & Talk). Some walking routes start directly from the hotel and provide perfect timing options. The best time for a Walk & Talk is after lunch, so the well-known afternood tiredness is gone in no time.
Just A Normal Meeting Setup - But Outdoors!
Should the 'beer garden', cablecar brainstorming and Walk & Talk options not fit into your event scenario, this doesn't mean that your team should limit itself to keeping the windows in the meeting space open. Our patio in front of the conference atrium can be used for classic conference formats, like U-shape, parliamentary or block setup. Alternatively, you can try out new formats like World Café or fishbowl. Otherwise, these existing seating areas are great for group work in the open air.
Fresh Air For Fresh Ideas!
Get more out of your event. Instead of yawning participants lost in open coma sleep, get highly motivated, attentive and active listeners who enjoy being there. Just try it out - it's easy.
Our Tip: Walk a small round around Lake Badersee during the break!
