As a Certified Green Hotel - and due to our great location in the mountains, - we have chosen not to use an individually controllable air-conditioning system. High summer temperatures are rare in the mountains, and the air cools down quickly in the evening, so that air conditioning is not really necessary in Grainau. Therefore, we appeal to your solidarity and hope you would share our engagement for the environment.

The hotel has two classic bowling alleys. Please contact our reception for reservations (fees apply).
Monday to Saturday 07:00 to 10:00, Sunday till 10:30 at the Werdenfels Restaurant.
The "Badersee" bus stop is located within walking distance on the road next to the hotel. The Eibsee bus takes you to the Zugspitze / Eibsee as well as to the center of Grainau, Garmisch and Partenkirchen. With your guest card you can use the public transport in Grainau and Garmisch-Partenkirchen free of charge. You can get the timetable of the Eibsee bus at the reception desk.
Need a quiet place to work? Use our Lakeview Office. This fully equipped office also has a large LCD monitor, Wifi and an office printer with scan & copy function. Water and tea/coffee are included in the usage fee.
Out of consideration for other guests, the consumption of cannabis products is prohibited in our hotel. In the event of non-compliance, you may be banned from the hotel.

Most of our conference spaces are spread over 4 levels in the Conference Atrium in the Landhaus. Our event spaces / ballrooms "Badersee" and "Pfaffenwinkel" are located in the Seehaus. The information screen at the reception shows which event takes place in which space. In addition, the name of the event is listed on the meeting room. Our MICE Office is located in the Conference Atrium as well. Coffee breaks for conference guests take place in the Talstation Bar, or, for the events in the "Badersee" conference space, in front of the "Badersee" room.

We are happy to welcome you in our Werdenfels Restaurant for dining. You can reserve a table for your preferred time with our restaurant team. We serve an extensive evening buffet between 18:00 and 20:30. We kindly ask our guests to follow a dress code in the restaurant in the evening hours. See also Dress Code.
We kindly ask our dinner guests to wear decent clothing in the restaurant during the evening hours. Please refrain from wearing tracksuits, shorts, muscle shirts or sportswear.

A Certified Green Hotel since 2016, the Hotel am Badersee is subject to the annual audit. The entire hotel team actively engages in protecting the environment and tries to save energy resources wherever possible.
A gas-powered combined heat and power plant is the core of our energy supply. In addition, we use heat recovery systems and energy-saving lamps or LEDs inside the hotel campus. We also practice waste management.
Please support our efforts during your stay. Already at check-in, you can opt out of daily room cleaning for longer stays. By doing this, you donate to the local mountain rescue service („Bergwacht“) that takes care of safety and nature protection in the Alps. If you haven’t opted out of room cleaning at check-in, you can still do this afterwards, just inform our staff at the reception desk.
Please do not leave the light or your TV set on needlessly, use your towels more than once if possible, and act responsibly to separate your waste. Avoid unnecessary water consumption, e.g. by stopping water when brushing your teeth, this saves precious drinking water. The alpine nature and our team at the Hotel am Badersee say thank you!
For express check out, please inform our reception desk in advance – at the latest, till 21.00 on the evening prior to your departure.
We are aware that there’s always room for improval. Therefore, your feedback is always welcome. Feel free to speak to our staff at the reception desk.
The Hotel am Badersee complies with all legal regulations regarding fire safety. This includes smoke detectors in all guest rooms, meeting rooms and in public areas, as well as in the back office and staff areas. Fire extinguishers are available throughout the hotel campus in prescribed locations. In the event of a fire alarm, please keep calm and follow the instructions from our staff. Please do not use the elevators and keep the windows closed. Leave the hotel immediately on the designated escape routes. Please keep the access routes free for the fire brigade. Assembly points are located at Lake Badersee and at the Eibseestraße car park next to the hotel. If you notice that something is burning, please inform our reception immediately.
A fitness room is located in the Landhaus Spa. It is available daily from 07:30 to 22:00.

You can adjust the room temperature to your needs using the controller on the radiator. Please think of the environment. Please turn the temperature down again when you leave the room for a long time or leave the window open.
Become a Hero of the Alps and take part in our sustainability program by opting out of daily room cleaning during long stays. Savings in water, cleaning agents, waste and energy will be donated to our local mountain rescue service (Bergwacht Grainau) that is in charge of safety and nature protection in the Alps. As a Certified Green Hotel and for sustainability reasons, we don’t use minibars in our guest rooms. You can buy chilled drinks from our vending machines located in public areas. Should you need refrigerated storage for your medications, please contact the reception desk.
Many of our team members are multilingual, and each of us is interested to provide the best support we can. Should German or English not be sufficient, we will do our best to find someone in our team who may speak your native language.
You can purchase various newspapers and magazines at the reception desk.
Our reception is open for you around the clock.
You can buy shipment packaging for your parcel at the DHL shop in Grainau or at the post office in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
You will find sufficient free parking spaces next to the hotel, in the driveway as well as behind the hotel campus. You can also use our underground car park (extra fees apply). Charging stations for e-cars are located in front of the hotel entrance and in the underground car park. Please use the parking lot in front of the entrance only for loading / unloading.

Pets are welcome in our house. However, we kindly ask you to register your dog in advance when staying overnight. Please refer to the current price list for the fee for dogs.
Due to the open buffet, dogs are not allowed at the restaurant. On the outer terrace dogs are welcome.

Use the safe in the wardrobe in your guest room to keep your valuables. To open and close the safe, use a credit card (or EC card) as described. Don’t use the room card! The safe is free of charge. Please remember to always use the same card to open and close the safe. You can use the central safe at the reception desk as well.
The saunas are available daily from 15:00 till 22:00. Early opening is possible depending on the weather, or on request. You will find your bathrobe and slippers in the spa bag in your guest room.
We ask for your understanding that we cannot allow children under the age of 12 to use the Landhaus Spa.

In Grainau there are two bakeries, a pharmacy and a few other small shops. Two supermarkets are located on the main road to Garmisch-Partenkirchen (in Schmölz). In Garmisch, as well as in Partenkirchen, numerous shops are located in the pedestrian zones. Nice shops can be found in the pedestrian zone in Murnau as well. For a big shopping round, consider a trip to Munich, Kempten or Innsbruck.

Smoking is prohibited in all our hotel rooms and public spaces. Ashtrays are available on the balconies and terraces. If you smoke in your room, we will have to charge you a special cleaning fee of €100.00!

As a holiday guest staying with us overnight, you will receive a free three-hour entry to the swimming pool in Grainau (Zugspitzbad Grainau) per night. The swimming pool is only about 800 m walking distance from the hotel. Present your room card to receive an entrance ticket for the swimming pool at the reception desk. When you arrive at the swimming pool, give your ticket to the receptionist at the cash desk.

From 6 pm to 1 am we are happy to welcome you in our evening bar with a fireplace, cosy lounge chairs and outdoor terrace. Talstation offers an extensive selection of cocktails and spirits. Sky Sports channels on request or during international tournaments.
