Arrival By Car: Go Climate-Neutral By Compensating Your CO₂ Emissions

Take advantage of our cooperation with Green Balanced to arrange your entire event at the Hotel am Badersee in a climate-neutral way - by compensating your CO₂ emissions.

CO₂ emissions get compensated through the participation in reforestation and forest conversion projects in Germany - that is, exactly where the emissions occur. For every 1000 kg of CO₂ offset, five trees are planted and cultivated. The forestry team continuously takes care of the planted trees to support them over time as a climate-stable mixed forest community. In the first 10 years, three assessments take place on site to measure the product performance and ensure that the CO₂ reduction takes place.

Climate-Neutral Events With Green Balanced

Arrival By Public Transport

Organise your trip up to 100% climate neutral. You can easily reach the Hotel am Badersee by public transport, primarily using the German railway company Deutsche Bahn.

The regional train from Munich or Innsbruck arrives to Garmisch-Partenkirchen once an hour.

Take advantage of the DB Event Ticket ('DB-Veranstaltungsticket') which is available to our guest due to our participation in the 'Top250 Tagungshotels' project. Then take the Eibsee Bus from the Garmisch-Partenkirchen station to the Hotel am Badersee - the bus stop is located next to the hotel.

Shoud the option with public transport not be possible for you and your colleagues, think about carsharing - that should be easy to organize within one company anyway.

Room Cleaning

If you only plan to stay for 2 or 3 nights, consider a voluntary cancellation of your daily room cleaning.

You are not likely to spend much time in your room anyway. By cancelling your room cleaning, you would contribute to a better world, as the savings on energy and garbage would be donated to our local Bergwacht, the mountain rescue service, that among others does a lot to protect nature in our neighbourhood.

Handouts

Give up using hard copies of your company materials during the event on a large scale.

Send online invitations and email the event presentations to your team before or after the meeting.

The complete event program can be uploaded and distributed to your participants via an online app - e.g. take a look at our partner LineUPR. Content from interactive sessions (pinboards, polls, notes etc.) can be projected directly to the screen via smartphone apps.

This has many advantages, primarily that the data is stored in digital form and can be forwarded together with the presentations, so you don't have to take pictures of the content or collect the forms. In addition, you spare pens and paper.

Recycling

Support our efforts to recycle. Encourage your event participants to use the containers in their guest rooms to separate the waste during the event.

We are located in an amazing environment, so it would be a pity not to take advantage of our natural location.

In fine weather you can completely run your event under open sky. Check our concept for open-air meetings.

By running your event outdoors you can save energy, e.g. artificial lighting. Along with that, fresh air would add to your colleagues' good health.
