Skiing

Two great resorts for skiing, ski touring and snowboarding are just outside your door. The Garmisch-Classic Ski Area offers everything from light blue to black runs – above and below the tree line.

Three lifts take you to the top, and three trails take you back down to the valley – including the infamous Kandahar downhill run. And you have all kinds of opportunities in between to get your kicks on 20 different high-Alpine pistes. Chalets and snow bars dot the slopes, and ambitious skiers can test their skills on the BMW slalom run on Kreuzwankl with official timekeeping and video recording. You will also find plenty of ski schools and rental shops in Grainau and Garmisch-Partenkirchen. On request and against additional charge we provide a ski shuttle to take you to the lift station and to pick you up.

Zugspitze has nine trails and lifts that take you to eleven pistes where you can enjoy over three meters of natural snow (there are no snow machines up here!) and lots and lots of sun.

By the way, you can get ski passes and lift tickets all year round at our reception desk – without standing in line.
