Since 2001 the Association of German Travel Management (Verband Deutsches Reisemanagement e.V., VDR) provides certifications for conference hotels and venues that meet the special needs of business travelers. Hotels, apartments, event locations and ships undergo extensive checks that are run on a transparent and independent basis. The certificate is a clear orientation guide to customers, as travel and event managers don't have to perform the time-consuming onsite inspections.

The objective of "Top250 Germany - Germany's Best Conference Hotels" is to qualify the MICE market to single categories like seminars or events. The number of project participants is limited to 250. The multi-stage check procedure is based on personal on-site visits. Hotels listed in the ranking belong to the industry's best of the best. The latest studies by Top250 Germany ranked the Hotel am Badersee 14th in the category 'Creative Processes' in 2019 and 13th in 2020.

Only the best sites for your meetings: As part of a joint project with the Deutscher Fachverlag and the tagungsplaner.de portal in 2018, the communication consulting company Faktenkontor questioned 2000 meeting hotels in the German market and assessed their service and hardware to five categories. According to this study, the Hotel am Badersee holds position 6 in Germany in the hotel category '100 to 200 rooms' with 94.7 points out of 100.
