Please mind that you need to have a sufficient level of the German language (at least B2) to start your training contract with us. This means, you should speak and write good German.

Cook
The saying goes, 'the way to a man's heart goes through his stomach'. As a trained cook you will have learned all the tips and tricks to enchant your guests, friends, parents or your beloved ones with culinary delights. The training will require your manual skills as well as extensive deployment of your senses. By completing your training in our renowned establishment you can easily make your way to an international career.
Our 4-star house belongs to the best hotels in the Zugspitze area. In addition, the internationally famous resort Garmisch-Partenkirchen lets you combine work and leisure to your full advantage. Outdoor sport opportunities are endless, international sport events take place on a regular basis, in the evening local bars and cafés offer an amazing atmosphere, and big cities, Munich and Innsbruck, are just around the corner.
Pre-requisites for your training:
- You have a high school diploma
- You can impress the colleagues and your boss with a positive charisma and self-confidence
- The training can sometimes be challenging and go to your limits, so resilience and perseverance are in high demand
- Respect for the others, politeness, as well as neat appearance are essential for being a great team member
- Sometimes you would have to work at weekends and on holidays. The advantage is, you will then have a few days off during the week when the shops, the slopes and the trails are not so full.
Your responsibilities:
- Compliance with the HACCP hygiene standard - we don't want any bacteria or viruses in our kitchen!
- Our hotel is famous for the freshness and high quality we provide on a daily basis
- Delivering the required quality and quantity just on time - in other words, no matter if we have 10 or 130 guests in house, they should get top quality meals served exactly when they need them
- Everyone needs support, so you will assist your colleagues and managers with their daily routine

Hotel Management Professional
At the reception you would learn the right way to communicate with guests, discover their needs and better understand our target group. In the reservations you can demonstrate your sales skills as you sell the guest the best room at the optimal price and recommend some extras. In housekeeping you will learn all the tricks for perfect cleaning, this is a big deal for your own home as well. Next, in restaurant service the personal approach is the key factor, including guest interaction, great service and the right advice for the guest. In addition, you will discover the 'back office' areas that mostly remain hidden from the guest: purchasing, bookkeeping, technical department or event management. At the end of the day you will be an allrounder of the hotel industry. Training time: 3 years.

Your responsibilities depending on department:
- You will support the reservations by producing an offer for the guest that would like to book our hotel.
- You will welcome our guests at the hotel, provide them with the necessary information and assist them on site. You will be the contact person for the guest.
- In housekeeping you will arrange the room, check if everything is clean and correct to ensure the guest feel themselves comfortable in the room they book.
- At the restaurant you will not only serve food and drinks, but also make recommendations for the guest - that is, you should be familiar with the menue offers and drinks.
- You will become an expert in our checkout and reservation system that will be your daily work instrument.
- You will support our team to plan, organize and manage the events.
- You will learn staff planning, guest correspondence and merchandise management.
- Everyone needs support, so you will assist your colleagues and managers with their daily routine.
